In high school, I took a film class that introduced me to photography and visual storytelling. Outside of class, I was constantly shooting cars and landscapes, learning composition and lighting simply because I enjoyed it and wanted to get better.

After graduating, I knew photography was what I wanted to pursue. The challenge was figuring out how to turn it into something sustainable.

I was introduced to real estate photography through a mutual friend who was already working in the field. I began working alongside him and spent the next three years learning real estate media hands-on. In that time I photographed over 2,000 homes, learned not just how to capture properties, but how listings move, how agents operate under real timelines, and how reliability matters just as much as image quality.

That experience shaped how I work today. It's where I learned how to deliver clean, consistent media while keeping the process simple for agents.

Basin Media is the result of that foundation — combining a background in visual storytelling with real-world experience in the pace and expectations of real estate. I'm FAA Part 107 certified for aerial work, and I'm based in Reno with roots in Chico, California.
